Salary up to £35,000pa
Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract, hybrid role, 3 days per week in office
We are looking for a Reporting Analyst to join us on our journey as part of a data evolution project. The role will primarily cover data validation and integration of multiple sources on a unified platform. There will be the opportunity to assist with designing dashboards in Power BI. This varied and exciting role will act as an important interface between our business and finance. The role will have a solid understanding of the business and finance processes and a passion for driving innovation through the delivery of technology.
Responsibilities of the role
- Work closely with the data team and project manager to effectively prioritise your workstreams to deliver project tasks to the deadlines set
- Working with Power BI end users (finance and non-finance colleagues) to identify current data sources and reporting requirements
- Completing data validation of new data integrations into Power BI with 3rd party portals (Timepoint, Traffic Data, Parking Eye, Stock and Waste).
- Work closely with the data team by communicating finance requirements and meeting the expectations of data quality.
- Maintaining and updating the current Power BI Data Dictionary.
- Weekly/Monthly Power BI reconciliation against source data and existing finance system (SUN, HQ.Net).
- Assist the Reporting Manager/EPOS team with identifying and resolving unprocessed batches.
- Work with Senior Reporting Analyst to maintain and enhance current library of dashboards.

Your qualifications, knowledge, and experience:
- Experience of Finance/IT projects ideally with a focus on applications e.g., ERP, Finance and BI tools.
- Report building in financial systems (e.g. General Ledger systems, BI tools, Access Databases and Excel)
- Analytical background & sound commercial understanding
- Maintain broad and up-to-date knowledge of IT systems, technologies and industry trends
- Evidence of process review development, with excellent documentation skills
- An understanding of testing and testing processes and artefacts
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- The ability to interpret between technical language and finance/business language
- The ability to build excellent working relationships, influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Experience in creating reports, presenting, and conducting requirement/process gathering workshops and playback sessions
- Excellent competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience of working within project teams and delivering project successfully
- Proven examples of working on own initiative
- Experience of working in a similar role, preferably within a multi-site business environment
