Established in 2023, the Welcome Break Charitable Fund supports the communities where Welcome Break operates.
Through fundraising, volunteering, and awareness, it balances national and local impact. For every £1 raised, 65p supports our charity partner, 30p goes to our community grant fund, and 5p to the National Emergencies Trust.
Welcome Break Charitable Fund
The Welcome Break Charitable Fund envisions communities where people are empowered to reach their full potential, leading healthier lives and enjoying emotional well-being.
We are committed to rallying behind our team members, supporting their efforts to create lasting, positive change in the communities they serve.
WB Community Grant Fund
The Welcome Break Community Grant Fund is dedicated to supporting local communities by investing in initiatives that make a real difference to the places our team members live and work in, and the communities we serve.
We encourage community groups, charities and non-profit organisations that meet our eligibility criteria to apply.
Macmillan Cancer Support
In 2023, we established a charity partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan support those living with cancer by providing physical, financial and emotional support.
Throughout the year, our team members on the ground will take part in all different types of fundraising. Whether that's The Mighty Hikes, card writing, volunteering with collection buckets. They've even done charity car washes and sky dives!
National Emergencies Trust
Launched by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, in 2019, The National Emergencies Trust is a charity dedicated to responding to UK disasters. Within as little as 4 hours of a national emergency taking place, National Emergencies Trust will launch a nationwide fundraising appeal to ensure those affected receive financial aid as soon as they need it.
Friends of the Cancer Centre
For 35 years, Friends of the Cancer Centre has been dedicated to making a real and meaningful difference to cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.
The charity is here to enhance the quality of patient care and support through its life-changing and life-saving work and does this by funding additional nurses, supporting local research and providing practical support, such as financial grants, which help families through a difficult time.
