Group Finance Manager

Salary – £55,000 to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Full time role

Hybrid working model

There may be very occasional travel to Dublin and sites within our UK estate

 

We’re looking for a Group Finance Manager to join us and help add strength to our finance team and to support the business growth we are experiencing through improved reporting, forecasting and analysis.

This person will work closely with the tax accountant, sitting within our head office finance team and have regular contact with the Welcome Break Senior Leadership Team, the overseas Applegreen Group finance team and external auditors.

 

What will your role look like?

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of the monthly group reporting pack, including IFRS adjustments, for submission to the parent company group finance team
  • Monthly and YTD variance analysis for balance sheet accounts
  • Completion of the statutory accounts and annual group financial statements in UK GAAP, including group consolidation and workings behind the financial statements and compliance
  • Production of subsidiary financial statements in UK GAAP
  • Co-ordinating the annual external audit process with Deloitte, including interim and year end visits
  • Influencing and supervising the Group’s accounting policies and procedures, including revenue recognition, acquisition consolidation
  • Working with the financial planning and analysis team to maintain key reports, structures and hierarchies within SUN financial ledger

 

 

About you

 

Ideally we are looking for someone who has:

  • Hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) and would ideally be educated to degree level
  • Accounting practice, or relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of developments in accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) and corporate governance / reporting
