£50-60K plus excellent benefits.


This position is a key role within Welcome Break working as part of the FP&A team. The Finance Systems Manager is responsible for supporting all financial systems (input, output, data integrity, processes) and the delivery of corporate reporting to ensure key performance information is produced timely and accurately to the business. The role also supports business objectives to ensure financial systems and reporting are fit for purpose.


About the Finance Systems Manager Role.


  • Administration and maintenance of all finance software (SUN, Vision, Contributor, Analyst, Cognos)
  • Expert user of all financial systems
  • Data integrity; reconciling financial systems
  • Report building and maintenance
  • Management reporting; weekly and monthly business performance reports
  • Month End; posting journals, reviewing statutory accounts, updating systems
  • Budgeting & Forecasting; integral part of the Budget process, build & maintenance of Budget software tool (Analyst)
  • Point of contact between Finance and IT for systems development, data flows, new data integration, upgrades, lead on projects, testing and implementing solutions, driving change
  • Ensure financial systems and IT strategy are aligned
  • Continual improvement of financial reporting and processes to make the most effective use of finance systems
  • Delivery of system training to new starters and relevant business stakeholders
  • Effectively prioritise business requirements
  • Ad hoc business analysis requests from stakeholders



Your experience

  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Experience of similar systems support & troubleshooting technical problems in previous roles
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role/s
  • Previous experience of administering and supporting financial systems (eg. SUN / Cognos BI / Business Objects / HOST)
  • Advanced Excel skills, as well as experience of working with Access databases is highly desirable
  • Confidence to challenge the norm
  • Excellent communication & business partnering skills, able to work with staff at all levels
  • Business / financial analysis – experience of modelling and analysis with large sets of data
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • A natural problem solver
  • Financial Integrity with attention to detail
